Food Trap

As soon as you take a seat at a dining table, you are caught in a power play.

The multitude of unwritten rules makes this situation a minefield for those who cannot afford to make mistakes since they are in a position of dependency.

Food Trap is developed as a site specific project for the exhibition Untied Knots in the kitchen of the building of Reneenee, which served as an orphanage kitchen for 300 years. This Hospice Wallon was built in the 17th century. The building can be found at Vijzelgracht 2, Amsterdam.
